The AH2ORA project has studied the application of water footprint calculation for efficient and sustainable water management in the agricultural sector. During this industrial research project, the reduction of water consumption has been studied through the development and implementation of a tool that is able to control the impact and consumption that agricultural practices have on water. In this event, the results obtained and the software developed will be presented, with the aim of reducing the impact of agricultural activities on water.
The first phase of the project has been developed during one year and is co-financed through the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism’s (MINCOTUR) line of support for AEIs. The project began in June, coordinated by Clúster GAIA. Also collaborating in the project are the companies Devol and AQUADAT, the technology center Fundación Tecnova and the Basque environmental industry cluster ACLIMA. These are entities related to the field of sustainability and digitalization, working essentially for industrial sectors.
The results of the first phase will be presented on April 11 from 09:30-11:00 at the final project event in which the technological trends and opportunities in the sector will also be mentioned.
